Leave a Legacy of Conservation

Join TRCP as we preserve our nation’s unique outdoor heritage

Let's Get Started

HIS VISION, OUR MISSION

For more then a century, hunters and anglers have been the driving force behind conservation in America. We fought to create public lands for all Americans and helped to pass and defend the nation’s environmental laws. We have funded conservation and restoration through our tax dollars, licenses and donations.

Our work is not done, nor will it ever be. We face a growing population, increasing development pressures, shrinking conservation budgets, a changing climate, and fewer policymakers who understand or appreciate hunters and anglers for their role in conservation. Inspired by the legacy of Theodore Roosevelt, the TRCP unites and amplifies the voices of hunters and anglers behind policy and funding that supports conservation, habitat and access. Our work is non-partisan and based on science, and we will never be afraid to tackle the toughest issues. Join us as we speak out to guarantee all Americans quality places to hunt and fish—now and forever. Leave a legacy of conservation.

“The nation behaves well if it treats the natural resources as assets which it must turn over to the next generation increased and not impaired in value.”
— President Theodore Roosevelt

Plan Your Legacy

There are many ways to make conservation part of your legacy and support the TRCP. Three of the most popular methods and other options are listed below. The tax advantages and other benefits vary, so please consult your legal or financial advisors to determine which is best for you.

Bequest

Allocate assets (a specific amount, percentage, or remainder of your estate) to be transferred to the TRCP in your will. This option does not require you to part with your assets during your lifetime.

Retirement Plan/ IRA Designation

Choose the TRCP as a full or partial beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement plan. In some cases, you may achieve significant income and estate tax savings—as much as 75 cents on the dollar—by naming a charity as the beneficiary of your retirement plan assets rather than a non-charity.

Life Insurance Designation

Designate a specific amount or percentage of your life insurance policy to the TRCP. You may give an existing policy, either fully paid or partially paid, or a new policy.

And More

Other options, such as Charitable Remainder Trust, Charitable Lead Trust, and Charitable Gift Annuity are available on a case-by-case basis—please contact us to discuss options.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

CHEERS TO CONSERVATION

Theodore Roosevelt’s experiences hunting and fishing certainly fueled his passion for conservation, but it seems that a passion for coffee may have powered his mornings. In fact, Roosevelt’s son once said that his father’s coffee cup was “more in the nature of a bathtub.” TRCP has partnered with Afuera Coffee Co. to bring together his two loves: a strong morning brew and a dedication to conservation. With your purchase, you’ll not only enjoy waking up to the rich aroma of this bolder roast—you’ll be supporting the important work of preserving hunting and fishing opportunities for all.
